How to Upload and Manage Home Documents
Who this is for: Homeowners, landlords, or property managers who want to keep important home files organized and accessible.
Abodio makes it super easy to keep all your important home documents—like appliance manuals, warranties, installation guides, or receipts—stored safely and tied directly to the assets they belong to. No more digging through drawers or email chains when you need them.
Uploading a Document to an Asset
- Navigate to the My Assets section from the sidebar

- Find the asset you’d like to add a document to (e.g., microwave, fridge, electrical panel) and click View asset

- Once inside the asset page, click the Documents tab

- Click + Add Document

- A form will pop up allowing you to:

- Upload a file (PDF, Word doc, image, etc.)
- Select the type (Manual, Warranty, Invoice, etc.)
- Add a title and optional notes
- Click Save when you’re done
The document will now be saved to that asset, so it’s always available when you need it.
Viewing or Managing Existing Documents
- Go back to the Documents tab on any asset to see uploaded files
- Click the eye icon to preview the document
- Use the edit pencil to rename, change the type, or update notes
- You can also remove outdated files and upload a more recent version at any time
Tips for Staying Organized
- Use clear, descriptive titles like “Microwave Owner’s Manual” or “Water Heater Receipt”
- Group documents by asset type to quickly access what you need
- Upload receipts and warranty info when you buy something new—it’ll save you headaches later
